Beach BBQ
Categories: Trips

Having a BBQ in a small beach, completely empty, surrounded by good friends is a nice state of things… very nice… specially when it is sunny and you have been away from the sea in a couple of months.

The beach is very close to our friend’s house and it is a part of the Cala Llevadó Camping. Since the high season has not started yet the whole Tossa de Mar is almost a ghost town, including this camping area.

Although today was a bit windy we managed to get rid of our jackets for a while and lie down facing the sun and listening to the crazy waves. We bought a long butifarra, pork ribs and chicken legs to use in the barbecue and prepared a huge load of pan tumaca (toasted bread with garlic, tomato, olive oil and salt).

I would totally recommend this location in Spain for people looking for a peaceful place to live from October to April. The rent price for a one bedroom apartment is as cheap as 300 euros so if you need/want to be away from the city and to save some money for a while these little towns are awesome.
