Goodies from UK, better late than never
Categories: Chewing/Sipping, Trips

Since UK holds the “horrible place for food” prize I decided to be kind and show an honest short list presenting a few good products that I discovered while being there for a couple of weeks.

1- Colman’s English Mustard: Spicy and addictive. Better than Dijon mustard or any other mustard I ever tried. Simply amazing. I regret not having a bottle with me right now.

2- Elderflower drink: Elderflower is very popular in UK. I bought the Belvoir Elderflower a few times and apple and elderflower juice. I do not enjoy flower flavours in tea or drinks but this one surprised me. The Spanish translation is saúco ( I did my homework just in case I find it again).

3- Stilton Cheese: It can be found everywhere, from Tesco to Sainsbury’s… I tried apricot stilton, cranberry stilton and blue stilton. They are all yummy. As I mentioned before in other posts, the variety of good cheeses and low prices were very attractive in UK.

4- Pippin Doughnuts at Bristol’s Saint Nicholas Market: Possibly the best doughnuts I have eaten. I chose the butterscotch and hazelnut and the lemon curd doughnut. Unforgettable! 😀

5- Ciders: There is no doubt on that one. I went from being a cider hater to a cider drinker in the west of Great Britain.

6- The Pie Minister: Hands down! The king of pies in my opinion. A must do in Bristol. I chose the Matador Pie with chorizo, olives, etc

7- Taddy Lager:  I tried this beer at The Cock Pub in London 😛 This honey beer is cheap and one of my favourites.
