Afternoon Tea for Two

I just came back from having my first “afternoon tea”. As I am writing this I am struggling to not to fall asleep as the amount of good and rich food I consumed have left me ready for a siesta. 🙂

Five of us went to a very nice place bar/brasserie called Browns. They have different locations in UK and at least this particular one in Bristol is very elegant. The restaurant is very spacious, it has big windows that lets the light in and a musician playing the piano. We asked for the Cream Tea menu and ordered the Afternoon Tea for Two which consisted of : loose leaf tea and cream, cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches (with no crust), three types of cakes (fruit cake, lemon drizzle and choco mousse) and fruit scones with jam and cream. Classy and exquisite! 😀

Needless to say that we finished everything knowing that we were not going to be able to move much after that. We are just ready for a quite and slow Sunday.
