Any Sunday afternoon on the Danforth
Categories: TorontoNTERO

Toronto’s Greek town is a lovely place to visit during the spring and summer. Today I spent the afternoon there, walking around and relaxing. On Sundays everything seems to be moving slowly, unless there is some kind of festival or event going on, all you see are neighbors walking their dogs, kids playing at the park, ladies going for their afternoon stroll.
I think I am starting to have a pattern.
Almost every time I get off on Pape station, walk up to Serano Bakery on Pape St. to buy sweets. Almond cookies are my favourites. Then I get cheese rolls fresh out of the oven at Foodland and a frozen package to bring home.
From there, I walk east or west on Danforth St, buying fruits and vegetables, go to Withrow Park for a while and then walk all the way to Broadview St to catch the subway again.
I always spend a fabulous afternoon, not concerned or worried about a thing, and easily trick myself to believe that I am ready to start the working week 🙂
