Life, Culture and Travels from the perspective of a Cuban
Reynier Mariño
Categories: Musicians

Mariño is an excellent guitarist from Havana who is best known in Cuba for his flamenco sounds. I have been listening this morning to his CD from 2003 “Alma Gitana” and started wondering what happened to his career since I left Cuba.

From what I could find on the internet he lives and works in Spain (Las Palmas, Gran Canaria) and has recently travelled to Uruguay with his band for a concert. He still performs with his sister, the singer Dianelis Mariño.

I have found as well a Canadian documentary  from 2005 called “New sounds of Cuba” that features Reynier Marino as a star together with Interactivo and Vanito Brown. Must see it.
