Bluesfest has a list of amazing rock artists this year. Lots of famous bands will be performing in the capital and while going through the list I saw that the Cuban band Sierra Maestra was included in the programme too. The show will be on Thursday, July, 7th, 2011 at the National Bank stage and you will not be hearing blues or rock but the real sound of the Cuban Son. If you can have your dancing shoes ready for that Thursday night and you are in the Ottawa area I would recommend you to check it out.
The band has been together playing classic son since 1976 and have already played in Canada in other ocassions.
