Sunny Sunday, Si Señor!!!

Today the weather has been incredible in San Fran! I left the house early to go for a class of Monkey Conditioning in Oakland. Knowing that the East Bay is warmer I was not surprised of the nice weather but when I came back to the city it was not only sunny but hot like a summer day. Alamo Park was crowded with people lying down on the grass tanning. Probably the hottest day since I got here and this is just the beginning! October and November will bring a lot of happy and warm days for me. And speaking of happiness…

Yesterday afternoon I went to Ocean Beach and DAMN, how I envy these San Franciscans! 🙂 A long and sandy beach right beside the city? And this is not the only beach. Although the water is cold for me to swim I will come back one of these days to spend the afternoon looking at the waves and enjoying a little picnic by the water.

I started appreciating the hot weather and the proximity to the ocean when I moved to Toronto. I learned to enjoy these small things that never noticed and that I took for granted when I was growing up.

A bit more on the adventurous topic. Just now I have been looking at some camping options for next weekend. I have heard that Big Sur is a popular region (also for Jack Kerouac back in the day ;)) so I guess the region is set and now it is a matter of choosing the exact location and availability. All the campgrounds I have checked are already booked for the weekend of the 23rd, so good luck to us. They only allow a certain number of reservations online and the rest are on a first come first serve basis.

There are options to camp by the river and by the ocean, but me and the ocean breeze… always. Even if that might envolve being a bit colder. The images on internet are stunning so hopefully we can find a spot. Otherwise we would have to drive down under the risk of not having a piece of ground to pitch our tent.

Enough of the sun, the beach and outdoors for the moment. Time to chill and have a cozy Sunday evening in the room. Happy week to all out there.
